The Stradbroke Domain Resort was built by Vantage under subcontract to Hutchinson Builders, one of the most successful building companies in Australia.
Burdened with the more complex logistics of being located on an island as well as being architecturally driven, the project was a full scale challenge but Vantage was able to use its strong ties with long term suppliers and subcontractors as well as applying dedicated administrative staff to deliver the project to Hutchinson Builders on time and on budget.
Both the shacks and villas have a retro design drawing from the 1950's style beach shack. Built with stick timber frames, polished particle floor boards, Bondor roofing and fc cladding, the dwellings are open plan, creating a laid back casual "Straddie feel".
